CAVS Community Breakfast and Information Marketplace
I had the pleasure this morning of being asked to photograph the CAVS Community Breakfast and Information Marketplace, being held at The Paddocks, Long Road, Canvey Island. It was great to see such a good turnout of both individuals and businesses who could speak with a host of participants displaying and promoting their organisations, all geared for providing local support within the community of Castle Point and beyond. A complimentary breakfast along with tea and coffee was also laid on, which I am sure was most appreciated by all who attended. There were a number of talks in the second half of the event, including:
Janis Gibson, talking about the 'CAVS way to wellness', a new service for Castle point and Rochford
and Steve Goodwill, from Show Racism the Red Card, tackling racism and discrimination, the work of SRtRC in schools.
CAVS, the Castle point Association of Voluntary services, was formed in 1994 to provide support and guidance to the community and voluntary organisations within castle point. They are located at and run the Tyrells Centre, 39 Seamore Avenue, Thundersley, Essex, SS7 4EX
